Mid-South Krav Maga Chief Instructor Patrick Terry will be conducting a special Weapon Defense Seminar July 10, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Using the battle tested, Krav Maga system, you will learn the techniques and defenses that have kept civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel safe from gun and knife attacks.

Self Defense 101 Seminar at the BRC a Success

Our first Self Defense 101 Seminar – An introduction into Krav Maga defense tactics – at the Bartlett Recreation Center was a great success! Men and Women of all ages participated in this free event where everyone learned some great tips to make them safer and learned how to punch and kick their way to safety.

Most importantly a strong message was sent on how to develop the attitude of going from ‘lamb to lion’ when faced by an attacker. Also provided was our awesome guide called “Self Defense and Self Preservation Concepts” which gives pages and pages of tips and concepts to deal with attackers, keep yourself safer, and even how to even prevent attacks from happening to you. With such great response we have an encore of this event on April 29, 2010. This is a free event for all adults and teenagers (with an adult)! Don’t forget – we have classes at the BRC on Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00!

We Are Expanding Back to Bartlett

We are excited to announce our return to the Bartlett area with the expansion of our program at the Bartlett Recreation Center. To begin, classes wll be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00pm starting February 15th. We will start our BRC program with Level 1/Beginner classes at first. We then plan to quickly add both advance classes and classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays as participation allows. The BRC is located just 1 block South of HWY 70 just off of Appling Rd at 7700 Flatherty Place (Just behind the Bartlett City Hall and across from Appling Middle School). Our primary instructor for this location will be Michael ‘the Rocket’ Glen Jr.

Your membership with Mid-South Krav Maga is valid at any of our locations. Come try one of our self defense and fitness classes at this phenomenal facility with one of Mike’s awesome classes. Tell your friends and collegues and even better bring them for a free visit.

Krav Maga Worldwide Awards Memphis – Next Location for Instructor Training

Due to our long term commitment to the Krav Maga Worldwide system and in consideration of the significant growth occurring in Memphis and Nashville’s Krav Maga Worldwide Official Training Centers – we have been selected to host the next KMW Phase A Instructor Training Course. Normally these courses are only offered at either the National Training Center in LA or in one of a few Regional Training Centers around the country. We are honored to be given this opportunity to be next host for the most experienced and most comprehensive Krav Maga training in the country. Mid-South Krav Maga has selected 8 instructor trainees to participate in this course including 6 from Memphis and 2 from Nashville Krav Maga locations. The course will start on February 6, 2010. We welcome other Krav Maga Worldwide training centers to our afcility as there will be more than 20 participants.

Law Enforcement Only Seminar October 15th-16th, 2009 Postponed

SEMINAR POSTPONED: The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a 2 day Krav Maga Law Enforcement Seminar October 15 and 16, 2009 from 8:00a.m to 5:00p.m. at the Shelby County Sheriff’s office Training Academy Multiplex Facility located at 993 Dovecrest Memphis, Tennessee

The class will be taught by Patrick Terry, owner and chief instructor of Mid South Krav Maga. The class will be 2 days of training covering empty hand combatives, self-defense techniques against common attacks, ground work, weapon retention, defenses against weapons including assilants armed with handguns & edged weapon threat and attacks and MUCH more!

The cost for the entire 2 days of training is $199.00 per person. If 4 participants register together then receive 1 FREE registrant. All training equipment such as striking pads and training weapons will be provided. Participants will need to bring their own duty holsters. ALL participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course as well as a 1 month FREE training pass to Mid-South Krav Maga AND a certificate to a FREE follow-up 2 hour LE Seminar.
